Telangana: NDSA chief to visit Srisailam Dam on April 29
Telangana Engineer -in -Chief (General) had called for immediate steps for rehabilitation of the dam
Hyderabad: National Dam Safety Authority chairman Anil Jain will visit the Srisailam project on April 29 to take stock of its condition.
His visit has been planned in the wake of a special report sent to the NDSA by the Telangana Engineer -in -Chief (General) G Anil Kumar highlighting the precarious state of the dam recently. The ENC (General) had called for immediate steps for rehabilitation of the dam, a common project of both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
The project continues to be under the operational control of Andhra Pradesh, where as the Nagarajuna Sagar project that was in the operational control of Telangana was handed over to the KRMB following an ugly face off between the security forces deployed by the two States on the dam site in November 2023.
