Telangana PCB serves notices to Tellapur municipality

Move follows complaints received by citizens on burning of waste in the open near Muthangi

Sangareddy: The Telangana Pollution Control Board (PCB) has served show cause notices to Tellapur municipality on Tuesday for burning waste in the open near Muthangi.

Following a number of complaints received by the citizens, the PCB officials visited the open waste burning site located along Kardhanur road near Muthangi village recently. They found the complaints to be true.

The officials asked civic officials why they should not take action against them for violating the guidelines of both the State and Central governments by burning the waste in the open.
