Move will benefit about 2,500 employees working in 800 Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies across Telangana
Hyderabad: State government is planning to bring in a new HR (Human Resources) policy for employees of Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies (PACS). The move will benefit about 2,500 employees working in 800 PACS across Telangana State.
Speaking at a review meeting held at his ministerial quarters here on Wednesday, Agriculture Minister S Niranjan Reddy directed the HR committee to submit its report immediately which will be implemented after obtaining approval from Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. He also promised that he would take up the proposal for providing honorarium to PACS chairpersons.
The PACS employees have no job security or promotions till date. Considering the important role played by these employees during paddy procurement in the current Covid-19 pandemic, the government appointed a committee to consider the demands for job security, promotions and salary enhancement.
TSCAB chairman Konduri Ravinder Rao, Commissioner of Cooperative Department Veerabrahmaiah and TSCAB Managing Director Muralidhar were present.
