Telangana Postal Circle launches round-the-clock services in key post offices
The Telangana Postal Circle has introduced 24x7 booking services in eight post offices across Vikarabad, Ranga Reddy, and Hyderabad districts, ensuring uninterrupted access to speed post and money remittance facilities. Additionally, business hours have been extended in 32 post offices across Hyderabad city.

Hyderabad: The Telangana Postal Circle has initiated 24×7 booking services in eight post offices in Vikarabad, Ranga Reddy, and Hyderabad districts. This initiative is for the convenience of the public, allowing them to access postal services at any time of the day or night.
The eight post offices include Alampally Sub-Post Office in Vikarabad district, Kukatpally Sub-Post Office, Parcel Processing Centre (PPC) Autonagar, and Hyderabad Airport Transit Mail Office (APTMO) Shamshabad in Ranga Reddy district. In Hyderabad district, the post offices are Hyderabad General Post Office, Speed Post Centre Begumpet, Transit Mail Office (TMO) Secunderabad, and Hyderabad Deccan RSTMO, Nampally.
These post offices are now open round-the-clock, including on Sundays and public holidays. Customers can book speed post documents/parcels and money remittances at any time, ensuring uninterrupted postal services, a senior postal official said.
Meanwhile, the postal department also extended business hours from 9 am to 6 pm in 32 post offices located in Secunderabad, Trimulgherry, Sainikpuri, Malkajgiri, Jama-i-Osmania, Khairatabad, SR Nagar, Sanatnagar, Manikonda, Golconda, Banjara Hills, Charminar, Uppal, Vanasthalipuram, ECIL, Ghatkesar, Jeedimetla, Sangareddy, and Shamshabad, a few key post offices in Hyderabad city.
Special covers on Tribal dances released
The Department of Posts, Telangana Circle, on Saturday, released two special postal covers commemorating Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas 2025, observed every year on November 15, to honour the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, the revered tribal freedom fighter and iconic national figure.
The special cover depicts major tribal dances such as Lambada/Banjara Dance, Gussadi (Gond), Aatapatas (Koyas), Kalapath (Andhs), Chenchu Dance, and Kolatam (Kondareddi). These dances are performed to traditional instruments like Dapda, Nangara, Rabab, Pepri, and Dhol, reflecting the rhythmic beauty and diversity of tribal culture.
