Telangana: Rain, wind damage Duddeda toll plaza; traffic stalled

Siddipet: The booths at the Duddeda toll plaza, built across the Rajiv Rahadhari in Siddipet district, fell like a pack of cards due to heavy wind and rain that lashed the district on Sunday evening.

With the sheets of the toll plaza booths being swept away by gale, several vehicles were also damaged.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident as passengers remained seated in their vehicles.

Meanwhile, traffic came to a standstill on the busy highway as the passage at the toll plaza was blocked by the booths’ roof sheets, which were strewn all over the road.

Police and toll staff were seen clearing the road when reports last came in.
