Hyderabad: Telangana Raj Bhavan has been illuminated on Sunday evening in pink for the 6th consecutive year by Ushalakshmi Breast Cancer Foundation to commemorate International Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Telangana Raj Bhavan is the only Raj Bhavan in the Country that has been turning pink in support of breast cancer awareness consistently since 2020. Started during the Covid pandemic year, this endeavour undertaken by the Foundation aims to create awareness about the importance of early detection, and equally, spread the message of hope, courage and determination in the fight against the most common cancer affecting women in India.
Several iconic monuments and prominent buildings – Charminar, Buddha statue, T-Hub, Prasads Imax, Durgam Cheruvu cable bridge and KIMS Hospital have been illuminated in pink earlier this month for a record 17th consecutive year by Ushalakshmi Breast Cancer Foundation.
