Telangana ramps up vaccination drive
On Saturday, a total of 1,62,386 individuals received the first and second dose of the vaccine at 1,187 Covid Vaccination Centres spread across the state
Hyderabad: The Health Department continued to ramp up the administration of Covid vaccines to a large number of eligible persons across the State. On Saturday, a total of 1,62,386 individuals received the first and second dose of the vaccine at 1,187 Covid Vaccination Centres spread across Telangana. Out of the individuals vaccinated on Saturday, 1,53,295 received the first dose while the remaining 9,090 completed their second dose.
So far, 17,616,53 eligible individuals, including healthcare workers, senior citizens, persons above 45 years have received the first dose, and 2,99,742 persons have received the second dose of Covid vaccines. Those who took the first dose of the vaccine include 2,29,475 healthcare workers, 1,42,474 frontline workers, and 13,89,704 persons above 45 years of age.

Doses meant for army personnel: 40,540
Buffer doses for advance scheduling: 38,840
Net vaccines consumed: 21,23,510
Vaccine wastage: 2.93%
