Telangana records 2,070 new Covid infections, 18 deaths

Hyderabad: Telangana on Saturday reported 2,070 new Covid infections and 18 fatalities pushing the cumulative number of deaths to 3,364 and the total number of positive cases to 5,89,734. The number of active cases in the State as on Saturday evening were 29,208.
Between Friday and Saturday, authorities conducted 1,38,182 Covid rapid tests of which test results of 1,418 samples are awaited. On Saturday, 3,762 individuals have recovered with a recovery rate of 94.47 per cent. So far, a total of 1,57,63,491 Covid-19 tests have been conducted in the State out of which 5,89,734 have tested positive and 5,57,162 persons have recovered.
The Covid-19 positive cases reported from the districts included nine cases from Adilabad, 120 from Bhadradri Kothagudem, 245 from areas under GHMC, 46 from Jagitial, 35 from Jangaon, 53 from Jayashankar Bhupalpally, 26 from Jogulamba Gadwal, eight from Kamareddy, 81 from Karimnagar, 172 from Khammam, nine from Kumram Bheem Asifabad, 60 from Mahabubnagar, 69 from Mahabubabad, 75 from Mancherial, 18 from Medak, 80 from Medchal-Malkajgiri, 69 from Mulugu, 27 from Nagarkurnool, 156 from Nalgonda, 12 from Narayanpet, 11 from Nirmal, 25 from Nizamabad, 81 from Peddapalli, 44 from Rajanna Sircilla, 92 from Rangareddy, 52 from Sangareddy, 72 from Siddipet, 95 from Suryapet, 52 from Vikarabad, 36 from Wanaparthy, 35 from Warangal Rural, 61 from Warangal Urban and 44 from Yadadri Bhongir.
