In Mulugu district’s Mallampalli mandal, a section of a bridge on the Kakatiya Canal along the national highway connecting Hyderabad to Chhattisgarh collapsed due to soil erosion caused by heavy rains. The 100-foot road from Fatima Junction to KU Junction saw severe water accumulation near Waddepally Lake, adding to commuter woes. Ongoing construction at the Tank Bund has blocked drainage channels.
