Hyderabad: The Managing Director, State Bank of India (SBI), Challa Srinivasulu Setty during his visit to Telangana, participated in a series of bank’s CSR activities.
As part of these initiatives, the top SBI official inaugurated a high-end computer lab, projector room and science lab, developed by SBI with a cost of Rs 12 lakh, at Government Boys High School, Gadwal.
A fire protection system including pump house, hydrant system, fire detection and alarm system worth Rs 50 lakh was donated to Sparsh Hospice, Khajaguda. The top SBI official also donated a seven-seater Maruti vehicle, wet grinder, stationery, provisions and hygiene products worth Rs 7.5 lakh to the Centre for Social Service, Hayathnagar.
Through SBI Ladies Club, its members including Sreedevi Surya, Meera Swaminathan, Manjary Mishra and others distributed groceries, blankets, clothes, stationery, hygiene products and hand sanitizers to Divya Jyothi Foundation, Saidabad.
On the occasion, the SBI MD said that the CSR activities were aimed at making a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals who are economically, physically and socially challenged.
