Three killed, ten injured in separate road accidents in Telangana

Three people, including a couple and a teenager, were killed and several others injured in two separate road accidents in Peddapalli and Gadwal districts on Tuesday, involving a car crash into a culvert and a bus-motorcycle collision

Peddapalli: Three persons died and ten others were injured in two separate road accidents reported from Basanthnagar in Peddapalli district and in Gadwal town on Tuesday morning.

In The first incident a couple died in a road accident that occurred near Basanthnagar of Ramagundam mandal in the early hours of Tuesday.


The incident took place when the car in which they were travelling hit a culvert. Edla Srinivas and his wife Rajitha died on the spot.

Residents of Mancherial, the couple met with the accident while returning from Hyderabad after meeting their daughter Rishitha, who is studying there.

Police registered a case and began investigation. The bodies were shifted to hospital for postmortem.

In anotehr incident reported from Jogulamba Gadwal district, a youngster died on the spot and two others sustained injuries when their motorcycle was hit by a TGRTC bus near a fuel petrol pump, close to the railway station here on Tuesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Ramu (17). The two other minors, Vishnu and Vardhan, were shifted to the Government General Hospital in Kurnool, according to reports.

The three minors were students of Sri Chaitanya College in Hyderabad. Police registered a case and investigation is under progress.
