Telangana Speaker to hear turncoat MLAs in disqualification case from Monday
Telangana Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar will begin hearings on disqualification petitions against MLAs who defected from the BRS. The hearings, scheduled for Monday and Wednesday, will include cross-examination of both petitioners and respondents. MLAs T. Prakash Goud, Kale Yadaiah, Gudem Mahipal Reddy, and Bandla Krishnamohan Reddy are expected to appear.
Hyderabad: Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar will hear the versions of the turncoat MLAs, who shifted loyalty from the BRS, on Monday and Wednesday.
With the Speaker initiating action on the disqualification petitions, both the petitioners and turncoat MLAs have been summoned for hearing on the petition.
The hearing is expected to be conducted in four sessions beginning from 11 am to 4 pm on Monday. As part of the initiative, there would be cross-examination of petitioners and respondents.
Turncoat MLAs, including T Prakash Goud (Rajendranagar), Kale Yadaiah (Chevella), Gudem Mahipal Reddy (Patancheru) and Bandla Krishnamohan Reddy (Jogulamba Gadwal) are set to appear for the hearing.
This is after the Supreme Court asked the Speaker to take action on the defection petition.
