Telangana State Teacher Awards 2026: 123 teachers, faculty members selected

As many as 123 teachers and faculty members from Telangana’s school, intermediate, technical and higher education sectors have been selected for the State Teacher Awards 2026. Three officials, including A Sridevasena and Kumar Deepak, were also chosen for excellence awards.

Hyderabad: As many as 123 meritorious teachers/ faculty members from school, intermediate, and technical education, universities and affiliated colleges have been selected for State Teacher Awards 2026.

Of the total awardees, 52 are from the School Education department, 28 from universities, 29 from university-affiliated colleges, 11 from intermediate education, and three faculty from government polytechnics. The awards will be presented during the Teachers’ Day celebrations scheduled for September 5.

Meanwhile, the government selected Commissioner of Technical and Collegiate Education A Sridevasena, Mancherial District Collector Kumar Deepak, and SCERT Director G Ramesh for excellence awards in recognition of their contributions to the field of education.

Sridevasena was selected for her contributions to the technical and collegiate education, while Deepak recorded the highest increase in enrolment in government schools. Ramesh was chosen for his contributions to academic leadership and school education.
