Telangana swimmer Aarush Das won bronze in the boys’ 50m backstroke at the 42nd Sub-Junior National Aquatic Championships in Jaipur. He clocked 29.44 seconds. Shivani Karra, who won gold earlier, added a silver in the girls’ 100m freestyle

Hyderabad: Telangana swimmer Aarush Das bagged a bronze in the 42nd Sub-Junior National Aquatic Championships 50m backstroke event for boys in Jaipur.

Aarush clocked 29.44 seconds to secure the bronze.

Aarush Das is trained by Ayush Yadav, head coach of the Sports Authority of Telangana at Gachibowli aquatics complex here.

Shivani Karra, who won a gold yesterday, settled for a silver in the girls 100m freestyle event.

She is also coached by Ayush Yadav.

Boys: 50m backstroke: 1. Krishiv Doshi (MP) 30.36, 2. Shlok Sunil Jadhav (Kar) 30.45, 3. Aarush Das (TG) 29.44.
