Telangana’s D Varshith wins bronze at Junior National Aquatics Championships

Telangana swimmer D. Varshith won bronze in the men’s 200m individual medley at the 52nd Junior National Aquatics Championships in Bhubaneswar. He clocked 2:10.97, adding to his medals from the 2024 Junior Nationals and 2025 Khelo India Youth Games.

Hyderabad: D. Varshith of Telangana settled for a bronze in the 200m medley for men with a timing of 2:10.97 in the 52nd Junior national aquatics championsihp at Bhubaneshwar.

M. Theerdhu Samadev of SSCB (0:09.36) and J. Daniel Paul of Karnataka (2:10.60) won the gold and silver respectively.

Varshit had earlier won a silver in the 400 individual medley in the 2024 Junior nationals and a gold in the 400m individual medlay in the
seventh 2025 Khelo India Youth Games. He is trained by John Siddiqui.
