B Manohar Rao started preparing for competitive examinations in 2014.
Sangareddy: Meet B Manohar Rao (37), the Group-II topper, who has now secured the State-level third rank twice in Group-II recruitment examinations. This apart, he has cracked multiple recruitment examinations and bagged six jobs in the last nine years.
Born in a remote village at Ujalampadu in Sirgapur mandal to farmer Beeradhar Pandarinath Rao and Kamalabai, Manohar, who used to work as a junior lecturer in a private college before the formation of Telangana, started preparing for competitive examinations in 2014.
He cracked the Group II examination on his first attempt and got third rank at the State level and first rank in the Multizone-2 exam in 2016.
Since the induction of selected candidates was delayed a bit, Manohar appeared for the social welfare residential recruitment examination in 2017 and got Postgraduate Teacher (PGT) and Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) jobs, bagging the State third and first ranks in the respective categories.
While working as a PGT in the social welfare residential school in Narayankhed, he continued to prepare for competitive examinations. He cracked the teacher recruitment examination in 2019 and got the second rank in the erstwhile Medak district.
While working as a school assistant at Zilla Parishad High School Chapta-K, where he studied, the government inducted him as Deputy Tahsildar clearing all decks for the Group-II examination conducted in 2020, just months before the Covid-19 lockdown was imposed in the country.
Due to health reasons and pressure from family, he decided to quit the deputy tahsildar job and sought repatriation into the government teacher job again. However, he was committed to entering into some administrative service.
Manohar, who was working as a teacher at the ZPHS Avusulapally in Kulcharam mandal of Medak district, appeared for Group II and junior lecturer recruitment examinations again in 2023.
He cracked both. While he got the State-level 4th rank in the junior lecturer (Economics) examination, Manohar got the third rank in Group II and first in the zonal level, repeating his 2016 performance, with a score of 439.344.
However, Manohar decided to opt for a Sub-Registrar post this time around. Meanwhile, Manohar also got 430 marks in the Group-I mains examination. However, the ranks and selected candidates list were not yet announced by the Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC).
