Telangana: Tiger kills calf on Yadadri-Siddipet border
A tiger attacked and killed a calf at Gandamalla village on Yadadri Bhuvanagiri–Siddipet border. Forest officials confirmed pug marks, tracked movement toward Chakkalgudem forest, and warned villagers as the tiger continues roaming nearby areas

Hyderabad: A calf was attacked by the tiger at Gandamalla village on the border of Yadadri Bhuvangiri and Siddipet district early on Sunday.
A farmer, Anil had tied his cattle near the well in the fields last night. On Sunday morning when he went to the cattle shed, he noticed a calf was attacked and preyed upon by some animal.
The farmer then checked the surroundings and found the big pug marks. He alerted the local sarpanch and forest officials who then reached the spot and confirmed it that of a tiger.
The forest officials then tracked the pug marks and noticed the tiger moved towards Chakkalgudem forest.
The forest officials have alerted the villagers and asked them not to venture into the fields alone.
On Saturday evening the tiger was spotted by forest officials in Chinna Laxma puram village outskirts around 20 kilometers away from Gandamalla village.
The tiger moved into the Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district around a fortnight ago and wandering in the villages and forest patches in Turkapally mandal since then. It had attacked cattle belonging to farmers on four instances in the mandal.
