Telangana to adopt online solutions to reduce burden of compliances to facilitate EoDB

Hyderabad: Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar on Tuesday directed officials of various departments to simplify the processes and reduce the compliance burden regarding inspections, registrations, renewals, maintaining records and other issues in the State. He wanted the entire simplification of processes to be completed by February end.
Reviewing the status reports on reducing compliance burden at BRKR Bhavan here, Somesh Kumar directed the officials to simplify and reduce the burden of compliances to simplify the existing process across different departments especially Revenue (Commercial Taxes and Excise), Civil Supplies, Transport, Energy, Home, Municipal Administration and Urban Development, and also Labour, Employment, Training and Factories. He also asked them to adopt online solutions to reduce physical interface with businessmen as part of improving Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) and attracting more investments to the State.
It was also decided that other departments should look at the pain points in their respective departments and prepare an action plan to reduce compliance burden. Principal Secretary for IT and Communications Jayesh Ranjan was asked to circulate a frame-work and guidelines for other departments in this regard.
Special Chief Secretary for Labour and Factories Rani Kumudini, Principal Secretaries Sunil Sharma (Transport), Jayesh Ranjan (IT and Industries), and Ravi Gupta (Home), along with Civil Supplies ex-officio Secretary Anil Kumar, Energy Secretary Sandeep Kumar Sultania, Commercial Taxes commissioner Neetu Kumari Prasad, Labour commissioner Ahmad Nadeem, Transport commissioner M R M Rao, Municipal Administration commissioner Satyanarayana, and other officials were present in the meeting.
