Hyderabad: Ekagra Chess Academy will organize one of the biggest prize money events — the Open Rapid Chess Tournament — with a total prize money of about Rs 22.22 lakhs at the HITEX Exhibition Centre here on December 20 and 21.
Sharif Mohammad of the Ekagra International Chess Tournament said it would be the first time Telangana would be hosting such a big event.
Tournament Director Girish Reddy said the Ekagra Chess Academy has trained thousands of students since 2020.
