Yadadri-Bhongir: The bodies of two teenagers who were missing since Monday evening, were fished out of Baswapur reservoir in Yadadri-Bhongir district on Tuesday morning. The deceased were identified as Lingala Hemanth (14) and Singireddy Pavan Kumar (14), residents of Kisan Nagar in Bhongir town.
The duo are suspected to have went to Baswapur reservoir for swimming on Monday evening. As they did not return to their respective homes even after late night, their parents lodged a complaint with the Bhongir Rural police station.
Bhongir Rural Sub-Inspector Saidulu informed that they took up search operation for Hemanth and Pavan. On Tuesday morning, the police found the chappals of the teenagers on the banks of Baswapur reservoir. Suspecting that they could have drowned in the reservoir, the police launched search operation in the reservoir with the help of expert swimmers. After four hours of search, the bodies of Hemanth and Pavan were fished out from the reservoir.
The bodies of the victims have been shifted to Area hospital for postmortem. The police registered a case and took up investigation.
