Telangana government employees are awaiting the long-delayed Pay Revision Committee announcement amid protests over pending issues. With six DAs pending, employee unions are seeking higher fitment, while concerns remain that merging the DAs with the PRC could reduce the actual fitment.

The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation has demolished 185 unauthorised structures under construction across its limits. Serilingampally recorded the highest number of demolitions at 81, followed by Quthbullapur and Kukatpally. The enforcement drive began after a seven-storey structure collapsed in Gachibowli.

A man was arrested in Adilabad on Thursday for allegedly duping a Thalamadugu resident of Rs 2 lakh by promising him a government job in the Roads and Buildings Department. Police arrested Md Rafeeq after the victim approached them.

Narayanguda police arrested two persons and recovered 19 stolen laptops worth Rs 7.6 lakh. Police said the laptops were linked to 16 theft cases across Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Malkajgiri, with CCTV footage and technical evidence helping trace the suspects.
