Tension prevails as followers of Premsagar Rao tear flex posters of MP Vamshikrishna in Mancherial
Tension prevailed at Gudem village in Mancherial district after followers of MLA Premsagar Rao allegedly tore posters of Peddapalli MP Vamshikrishna ahead of a school bag distribution programme. Supporters of both leaders confronted each other before police restored order

Mancherial: Tension prevailed for a while after followers of Mancherial MLA Premsagar Rao tore posters of Peddapalli MP Vamshikrishna during the distribution of school bags at Gudem village in Dandepalli mandal on Saturday. Vamshikrishna was scheduled to attend the distribution of school bags at a school in Gudem village.
On learning about this, followers of Premsagar Rao arrived at the school and tore the posters of Vamshikrishna. They raised slogans against the MP and questioned why Vamshikrishna was organising the event at a school located in the Mancherial segment.
Meanwhile, followers of Vamshikrishna and members of some Dalit organisations reached the school in support of the MP. They raised slogans against Premsagar Rao. They demanded action against those who tore the posters and confronted Rao’s followers, leading to tension.
Police dispersed the groups and brought the situation under control.
