TGNPDCL Superintending Engineer nabbed by ACB while taking Rs 80,000 bribe in Mahabubabad

Mahabubabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Warangal Range on Wednesday caught red-handed Janagam Naresh, Superintending Engineer, TGNPDCL Operations Circle (Mahabubabad), while he was allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 80,000 at his residence.
According to an official press release, Naresh had demanded a bribe of Rs 1 lakh for approving the continuation of agreements related to existing Letters of Acceptance pertaining to Kuravi and Maripeda sub-divisions. He had earlier taken a bribe of Rs 20,000 and was allegedly accepting the remaining amount of Rs 80,000 when he was nabbed.
He was being produced before the Special Judge for SPE & ACB cases, Karimnagar, the release said. The case was under further investigation.
The ACB also said that in case of any public servant demanding bribe, the public could contact toll-free number of the ACB, 1064. ACB Telangana could also be contacted through social media platforms WhatsApp (9440446106), Facebook (Telangana ACB) (X (@TelanganaACB). The name and details of the complainant would be kept confidential.
