Hyderabad: A TGSRTC bus driver has come under criticism after allegedly refusing to open the doors for a woman waiting in heavy rain at the Paradise traffic signal.

The incident involved a Green Metro bus operating on Route No. 10H (registration TG 10 T2206).

A video circulating on social media on Thursday, showed the woman and several other commuters requesting the driver to open the doors while the bus was halted at the signal. Despite repeated appeals from passengers, the driver allegedly refused to let her board, reportedly used rude language, and drove away without opening the doors. The conductor also did not intervene.

The viral video has sparked a heated debate online. Many users criticised the driver’s behaviour, saying public transport staff should show compassion towards passengers caught in difficult situations, especially during heavy rain.

Citizens requested the TGSRTC authorities to review the driver’s conduct and take necessary action.

The corporation has not yet issued an official statement on the incident.
