Thalassemia and Sickle Cell Society marks 4,000 blood donation camps
The Hyderabad-based Thalassaemia and Sickle Cell Society (TSCS) marked the milestone of conducting 4,000 voluntary blood donation camps by felicitating blood donors and volunteers.

Hyderabad: On the occasion of reaching the milestone of conducting 4,000 voluntary blood donation camps, Hyderabad-based Thalassemia and Sickle Cell Society (TSCS) organised a felicitation programme to honour voluntary blood donors, raise awareness about the disease and support patients needing frequent blood transfusions.
Speaking on the occasion, Society president Dr Chandrakant Agrawal expressed gratitude to the blood donors, volunteers, staff and supporters whose continued involvement has helped the organisation reach the milestone of 4,000 voluntary blood donation camps.
The felicitation ceremony also served as an occasion to recognise blood bank personnel, camp staff, volunteers and others working behind the scenes, who tirelessly coordinate blood donation activities and contribute to the availability of safe blood for patients, a press release said.
Dr. K. Laxman, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, along with senior board members of the Sickle Cell Society, patients with Sickle Cell Anemia and their family members were present.
