Hyderabad: With the State government announcement on filling up vacant posts in the police force, the Rachakonda Police are planning to kickstart the Pre-Recruitment Training (PRT) for youngsters from the Commissionerate soon.
Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh M Bhagwat has over the years mentored and guided scores of candidates in successfully cracking the civil services. Candidates preparing for competitive examinations look forward to his experience and expertise to plan their work schedule.
Rachakonda Police is now coming up with strategies to guide candidates who will be appearing for recruitment tests that are to be notified shortly. “The focus is on giving a comprehensive training of the job aspirants,” Bhagwat told C Romeo.
Intensive training to aspirants
Pre-recruitment training programmes for sub-inspectors and police constables in the past yielded good results with many aspirants clearing the selection process for the police force. Nearly 7,000 aspirants were trained under the PRT programme earlier. This time too, we are planning intensive training for the aspirants who intend to join the police department. Our aim is to help candidates from poor families, remote locations and the underprivileged.
On the training module
We are planning to have it on par with other competitive training programmes and exams. Once the job notification is out, we will be conducting a screening test and physical test for candidates and the selected candidates will be trained with the help of private coaching centres. Support in this regard is sought from the coaching centres, district administration and corporate companies. We will train the candidates through all stages from prelims, mains and interviews.
Guiding and mentoring
We have mentored several candidates and helped them in clearing the civil services exams. The government also announced plans to fill Group-I (DSP) vacant posts. We will help them with the required guidance on lines with the civil services aspirants at the time of the interview. For this, they have to first clear the mains and prelims by themselves. Briefing topics in person or over the phone, sharing tips on how to take the examinations and interviews, apart from sharing information on the WhatsApp groups specially created for the purpose will be done.
Work hard to succeed
After a long time, job vacancies are being filled and most of the aspirants have already started preparations on their own or joining coaching centres. A decision to fill up vacancies in the police department on such a large scale has not been taken in recent times. It is a great opportunity provided by the State government for young aspirants to make a great career. Aspirants should work hard in achieving their goals in life. Their hard work alone could take them to peaks in their careers too.
