Here are a few places around Hyderabad that would surely keep you on your toes throughout the weekend:

Hyderabad: Gone are the days when one would like spending a weekend on the couch watching television. Now, several Hyderabadis are on a hunt for new locations every weekend – to go explore some of the unexplored or less-popular points close to the city. Well, beyond just some decorative Stories and Reels for social media platforms, a weekend gateway also helps recharge the mind and body for another week of work.

Here are a few places around Hyderabad that would surely keep you on your toes throughout the weekend:

Lower Manair Dam: Constructed across the Manair River in Alugunur village, Karimnagar district, the Lower Manair Dam is located just over 162 kms from Hyderabad. The river which is a tributary of Godavari river brings some nature’s bliss to the city dwellers – who can spend a beautiful evening by the river bank, enjoy the soft breeze and also go boating!

Eegalapenta:  Located about 190 kms from Hyderabad, Eegalapenta is a perfect location for a drive with family or friends. This small village in Mahabubnagar district is located in the Nallamala Hills and is on the way to Srisailam. It is surely a pleasure to drive through the green forests. The stay and picturesque view from Haritha Resorts at Eegalapenta is the major tourist attraction of the place. Also, the jungle safari at Farhabad, the Mallela Theertham Waterfalls and Octopus Viewpoint in the vicinity are some places you shouldn’t miss.

Kongala waterfalls: Located at about 275 kms from Hyderabad, the waterfall is a perfect location to rejuvenate after a whole week of monotony. The drive with scenic beauty of green forests on both the sides with a lane road in between gives an opportunity to breathe in some fresh oxygen in the midst of the forests. The stream of waterfall amid the cliffs thickened with green forests is a scene that should not be missed.
