Hyderabad: After experiencing heavy rains during the monsoon, the Nizamabad district has started registering a dip in temperatures with the onset of winter forcing many people to wear woolen sweaters to protect themselves from cool weather.

For the last few days, the entire district was enveloped with fog in the morning forcing people, especially farmers to commence their activities late as against their daily normal schedule. The MeT department officials said that the day temperature might come down further in the next few weeks.

The dip in morning temperature has also affected the visibility to the motorists travelling on the main stretches including the highway in the district. Some motorists drove their vehicles by switching on the vehicle headlights continuously, others did not venture out till 8 am.

At 12 am on Friday, the district registered 20.3 degrees Celsius temperature and as the day progressed the temperature touched 29 degrees Celsius. At 6.15 am, the district recorded 29 degrees Celsius.

The temperatures in the district are hovering between 30.4 degrees Celsius and 21.9 degrees Celsius for the last few days.
