The organisers who conducted the laddu auction on Monday night saw intense bids from the devotees, pushing the price to a new record.
Hyderabad: The Ganesh laddu from Keerthi Richmond Villas in Bandlaguda here has hit the headlines yet again for its expensive bid in the State. The laddu prasadam went under hammer for a staggering Rs.1.87 crore, marking an increase of Rs.61 lakh compared to last year.
The organisers who conducted the laddu auction on Monday night saw intense bids from the devotees, pushing the price to a new record.
However, the organisers did not reveal the name of the successful bidder. Last year, the laddu fetched the organisers Rs.1.26 crore. In 2022, it went under hammer for Rs.60 lakh.
According to organisers, the money generated through the auctioning of the Ganesh laddu were being used for the multiple developmental projects in the area and welfare of the economically weaker sections.
