Three held for attack on gau rakshak in Pocharam

Three persons were detained by Rachakonda police in connection with the attack on gau rakshak Sonu Singh in Pocharam. A cattle trader, Ibrahim, allegedly opened fire on Singh before fleeing with two others. The BJP plans a protest on Thursday.

HYDERABAD: The Rachakonda police took into custody three persons in connection with the murderous attack on a gau rakshak at Pocharam on Wednesday.

Sonu Singh alias Prashant, a resident of Rampally was injured when a cattle trader Ibrahim had allegedly opened fire on him with a country made weapon.


Ibrahim was reportedly accompanied by two more persons. Afterwards the trio escaped in a car.

Sonu was first shifted to a local hospital and later rushed to a private hospital at Secunderabad for treatment.

The police after the incident formed special teams to nab the attackers and nabbed three persons so far.

The BJP party had announced a protest demonstration the Telangana DGP office on Thursday to condemn the attack.
