Three held for selling spurious seeds in Hyderabad
Acting on a tip-off, the team raided Vaishnavi Seeds and Pesticides located at Keshampet and seized 115 kg of spurious banned BG-III HT cotton seed and Glyphosate pesticide
Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Special Operations Team (Shamshabad zone) raided a shop selling spurious seed and pesticides and arrested three persons on Thursday. Property worth Rs 2.5 lakh was seized.
Acting on a tip-off, the team raided Vaishnavi Seeds and Pesticides located at Keshampet and seized 115 kg of spurious banned BG-III HT cotton seed and Glyphosate pesticide. The arrested are Y Anjaiah (45), Y Bala Raju (31) and B Pandu Ranga Reddy (41).
“The trio was selling banned seed and pesticides to farmers and cheating them,” the police said. The three were handed over to the Keshampet police.
