Three Hyderabad special trains converted into regular services
Indian Railways has converted three special train services from Hyderabad into regular services due to rising passenger demand. The trains include Kacheguda–Tuticorin, Hyderabad–Kanyakumari and Charlapalli–Shalimar routes, improving connectivity between Telangana and southern and eastern parts of the country.

Hyderabad: The Indian Railways has converted three special train services originating from Hyderabad into regular trains.
According to the Railway Ministry, the move was taken in view of increasing passenger demand on several routes.
As part of the latest decision, the Kacheguda–Madurai special (07191/07192) has been converted into the Kacheguda–Tuticorin Express (17165/17166). The train will depart from Kacheguda every Monday at 3 pm and reach Tuticorin on Tuesday night, returning on Wednesday morning.
Similarly, the Hyderabad–Kanyakumari special (07230/07229) has been made a regular Hyderabad–Kanyakumari Express (17069/17070), running weekly between the two cities.
Likewise, the Charlapalli–Shalimar special (07225/07226) will now operate as the Charlapalli–Shalimar Amrit Bharat Express (17065/17066), departing from Charlapalli every Tuesday morning and reaching Shalimar in West Bengal on Wednesday.
Since 2014, Indian Railways has introduced 91 new train services from Hyderabad, operating from major stations including Hyderabad, Secunderabad, Kacheguda and Charlapalli.
