Three including 6-year-old girl killed in road accident in Jangaon

The accident occurred when the car hit the truck that was parked on the highway by the driver to fix a flat tyre.

Jangaon: Three persons including a six-year-old girl were killed after a car collided with a stationary truck near Pembarthy on NH-163 in the district on Tuesday morning.

The victims were the truck cleaner V Rajashekar (33) of Tirumalagiri, truck driver Abdul Rahimkhan (47) of Hyderabad, and the girl who was travelling in the car and hailing from Kazipet.

The accident occurred when the car hit the truck that was parked on the highway by the driver to fix a flat tyre. The other two persons travelling in the car received injuries and they were rushed to the Jangaon government hospital for treatment.

The car was going to Hyderabad from Kazipet with three people including the girl. It is learnt that the driver of the car was drowsy and did notice the parked truck. Police have registered a case and are investigating.
