Medak: All arrangements are in place for the counting of votes for Medak LAC MLC polls. The counting for the LAC seat will commence at 8 am on Tuesday at Government Junior College Medak.
Speaking to officials on arrangements to be made for the counting on Monday, Medak Collector and Returning Officer S Harish asked the agents of the three candidates to report at the counting center before 7.30 am on Tuesday. Saying that the total counting process may end by noon, Harish sensitised the counting staff to carry out the identifying invalid votes with utmost care since there was a priority vote. Additional Collector Ramesh has also examined the arrangements for counting at Government College Medak.
Though there were three candidates, including an independent Matta Malla Reddy was in the election fray, the contest is going to be only between Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) candidate Dr V Yadava Reddy and Congress MLA T Nirmala. Out of the 1,027 votes allotted to the LAC, as many as 1,018 voters were polled recording 99.22 percent of the polling. Since the TRS was officially having 777 votes, the victory of the TRS candidate is going to be a cakewalk.
