Mancherial: Three students from Telangana Social Welfare Residential Centre of Excellence (TSWR CoE) – Bellampalli got seats at prestigious Delhi University, bringing recognition to the institution. The list of provisionally selected candidates was declared on Friday.
Principal of TSWR CoE Inala Saidulu said that the pupils Jangam Namdev, Mesala Raja Sagar, Gudi Sushindar Reddy bagged an opportunity to study a graduation course at DU for the first time. “It has been a dream for our students to achieve seats at the university for quite a long time. The students realised it, inspiring their counterparts,” he stated.
While Namdev hails from remote Salugupalli village in Bejjur mandal of Kumram Bheem Asifabad, Raja Sagar is a resident temple village Velala in Jaipur mandal and Sushindar Reddy belongs to Sarangapalli village in Mandamarri mandal of Mancherial district. All the three students come from financially weak families and their fathers are farmers.
Namdev and Raja Sagar will pursue BA Honors in computer science. Sushindar got a BA Honors in philosophy. The students were congratulated by TSWR Adilabad Regional Coordinating Officer (RCO) Koppula Swarupa Rani, Saidulu, teachers Mitta Ramesh, Gajula Rajender, Akenapalli Rajesh and Chanda Laxminarayana and non-teaching staff for achieving admissions at the reputed institution of the country.
Recently, four students belonging to this TSWR CoE – Bellampalli secured admissions into a nautical engineering course and BSc Fisheries Science offered by the Central Institute of Fisheries Nautical and Engineering Training (CIFNET) of Kochi in Kerala. They were Rahula Madhavan, Oraganti Thanmai, Manchala Pavan and Kummari Anjith Kumar.
