Three-year-old boy mauled by pack of stray dogs in Sangareddy
A three-year-old boy was seriously injured after being attacked by 14 stray dogs in Doulthabad, Sangareddy district. CCTV footage showed a woman rushing to rescue the child within a minute, preventing a fatal outcome.
Sangareddy: A three-year-old boy sustained serious injuries after being attacked by a pack of 14 stray dogs on a street in Doulthabad town on Wednesday.
CCTV visuals showed the boy standing in an isolated spot when the dogs pounced on him. As he cried for help, a woman rushed to his rescue within a minute. The child, identified as Abubakar, suffered severe injuries in the attack and was immediately shifted to the government hospital in Sangareddy for treatment.
Eyewitnesses said the boy might not have survived had there been any delay in rescuing him. The attack, captured on CCTV cameras, later went viral on social media.
Residents demanded that officials take immediate steps to control the stray dog menace in Doulthabad, stating that the animals had attacked several persons in the past. They alleged that stray dogs were overpopulated in the town and posed a serious threat to public safety.
