Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao has called on the Congress government in the State to reconsider their policies that were impacting traditional occupations.

Highlighting the facts and figures released by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation in support of the great strides made by the State during the BRS regime, he said significant progress was made by the State in livestock and traditional occupations.

He attributed it to the unwavering support of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao towards traditional occupations. The state had focused on increasing meat and poultry production to meet local demand, reducing the need for hundreds of trucks to import these products from other states.

He pointed out that despite the success of these schemes, some have attempted to discredit them as scams. K.T. Rama Rao urged these detractors to change their perspective and recognize the remarkable achievements of the state that unfolded before their eyes during the BRS rule.

Current rulers are accused of conspiring to eliminate traditional occupations by halting the distribution of sheep and fish. K.T. Rama Rao emphasized the need for the current rulers to take note of the central government’s figures and reconsider their actions.

“The central government’s acknowledgement of a Rs 2,000 crore growth in the livestock sector over the past decade was a testament to these efforts,” he said. “
