Kothagudem: CPI (Maoist) Dandakaranya Special Zonal Committee (DKSZC) member Sappo Hunga alias Vinod reportedly died following sickness.
According to the Chhattisgarh Police, Vinod was infected with Covid-19 and was seriously ill for many days. However, his death has not yet been confirmed by the Maoists. Vinod was said to have led the Naxal attack, which occurred in Bastar’s Jheeram Ghati where 29 people were killed, including top Congress leaders in 2013.
