Tractor driver gets 8 years RI for causing death in Adilabad mishap
A local court in Adilabad sentenced a tractor driver to eight years of rigorous imprisonment and a Rs 11,000 fine for causing a fatal accident in 2021. The driver was convicted after examination of evidence and eight witnesses.
Adilabad: A local court on Monday sentenced a tractor driver to eight years of rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs. 11,000 for causing the death of a man due to negligent driving four years ago.
Senior Civil and Assistant Sessions Judge CM Rajyalaxmi pronounced the verdict, holding Surethar Santosh of Adilabad town guilty of causing the death of Naveed Ahmed by riding a tractor negligently at Collectorate Chowrasta on July 26, 2021.
The court examined evidence and cross-questioned eight witnesses before delivering the judgment.
Superintendent of Police Akhil Mahajan appreciated Adilabad I Town Inspector Sunil Kumar, court cases monitoring officer MA Baqi, court liaisoning officer Ganga Singh, and court duty officer M Ashok for their efforts in securing the conviction.
