Karimnagar: District Collector RV Karnan on Tuesday warned that bank accounts in Huzarabad Assembly Constituency that record transactions in excess of Rs 1 lakh would be monitored and appropriate action would be taken against such account holders.
The Collector, along with poll expenditure observer SH Elamurugu, conducted a meeting with the representatives of different political parties to discuss election campaign expenditure and maintenance at the Collectorate conference hall here on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, he said if anybody draws or deposits more than Rs 1 lakh amount at a time from their bank accounts, those bank accounts would be monitored.
If money was transferred from an account or number of accounts to others through UPI such as Google pay, Phone pay and other apps to attract voters, those accounts would also be monitored and action would be taken against those political parties or candidates.
Karnan informed to include in candidate’s election expenditure if any political party conducted election meetings in adjacent constituencies. If any political party was campaigned along with the party symbol or candidate’s photo in neighboring segments, that would also be included in candidate poll expenditure.
There are 2,36,859 voters in Huzurabad Constituency. Of them, 149 are service voters, 8,246 PWD voters, 4,454 are above the age of 80 years and 4,988 are young voters (aged between 18 to 19 years).
306 polling stations were located in 168 locations across the Constituency. In ten places, four polling stations are located at the same premises, three polling stations located in the same location in 17 places and one and two polling stations were located in the same place in other areas.
Tight security arrangements would be made in the locations where more than three polling stations were located, he informed.
After completion of scrutiny, 41 candidates were in fray and the final figure of contestant candidates would be known after withdrawals scheduled on October 13, he opined.
They have to bring more EVMs from adjacent districts if a number of candidates were in fray. The first and second phase of randomisation would be completed in the presence of the representatives of political parties, Collector informed.
Polling and counting agents of political parties should take first dose of Covid vaccine and submit RT/PCR negatives report to election authorities 72 hours before polling and counting. The polling and counting agents, who have not taken at least first dose, have to submit RT/PCR negative report before 48 hours.
Election Commission of India has released the schedule for 2022 special voter enrollment programme and draft publication would be done on November 1. Applications would be accepted for claims and objections from November 1 to 30. Final voter list would be published on January 5, 2022, he informed.
