Transgender woman attacks inebriated person in Sircilla
According to police, Baindla Mahesh alias Bhavani attacked Ravuri Mohan Sai Kumar alleging that the latter had stolen Rs 8,000 and mobile phone from her pocket
Rajanna-Sircilla: A video of a transgender trashing a person in an inebriated condition went viral on various social media platforms on Monday. The transgender hit the drunk person with a stick and kicked him several times at the old Sircilla bus stand on Sunday night.
According to police, Baindla Mahesh alias Bhavani attacked Ravuri Mohan Sai Kumar alleging that the latter had stolen Rs 8,000 and mobile phone from her pocket while she was sleeping in the old bus stand.
Abusing the victim, Bhavani attacked Sai Kumar with a stick and created a flutter by dragging the victim around in the bus stand premises. People present in the bus stand recorded the entire episode and posted the video on social media platforms.
On getting to know about the incident, police rushed to the spot and shifted the victim to the district headquarters hospital, where he is undergoing treatment.
CI Venkatanarsaiah said they have taken Bhavani into custody and registered a case.
Transgenders from other places have been migrating to Sircilla town for the past some time now and were eking out a livelihood by seeking alms at shops and other business establishments.
