Warangal Urban: The ruling TRS party leaders kick-started the poll campaign in Warangal for the GWMC election on Thursday with Tribal Welfare Minister Satyavthi Rathod, Parkal MLA Challa Dharma Reddy, and other leaders participating in the campaign at Garib Nagar under 16th ward. They urged the people to vote for party candidate Manisha in the election on April 30.
Speaking to the locals, Rathod said: “We are launching the poll campaign formally by visiting the Garib Nagar. I urge you to bless us wholeheartedly and vote for the TRS candidate from this ward Manisha to ensure her victory with a thumping majority.”
Stating that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was striving for the development of Warangal city, she said Garib Nagar would also be developed as it was merged with the Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC). “Nowhere in the State have house site pattas bee given to the poor in ‘cheruvu shikam’ lands except in Garib Nagar,” she said, adding that the government would also allot the 2BHK houses to them soon.
Dharma Reddy said that the TRS candidate in the last election secured the 1100 votes against the 1310 votes in this ward. “I urge you to see that all the 1310 voters would vote for the TRS candidate Manisha in this election. I promise you that you would be provided with the double bedroom houses,” he added. The TRS leaders have visited the Janpaka and Adarsh Nagar localities as a part of the election campaign.
