Mahabubnagar: Roads and Buildings Minister V Prashanth Reddy said all sections were extending voluntary support to Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS)’s candidate for Mahabubnagar – Ranga Reddy – Hyderabad Graduates Constituency MLC elections Surabhi Vani Devi.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s move to field Vani Devi as TRS candidate for the MLC elections has put the BJP in a dilemma, he said on Saturday.
“BJP wanted to seek votes in the garb of caste and community but it is now caught unaware due to TRS’s decision,” said Prashanth Reddy.
Addressing at the MLC elections preparatory meeting in Mahabunagar, the Roads and Buildings Minister said TRS Government was working for welfare of all sections. Infact, in many reports released by the Central Government, the Telangana has topped the chart, he said.
No other State can match Telangana in terms of introducing various welfare and development schemes. Telangana BJP president B. Sanjay never speaks about such welfare programmes, he charged.
The Chief Minister is fielding Vani Devi in the MLC elections as a mark of respect towards former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao, he said.
Tourism Minister V Srinivas Goud said after the formation of Telangana, there was remarkable change in the lifestyle of people.
There is tremendous development in the power, water supply and welfare sectors and graduates should consider these achievements, he said.
He also appealed to the TRS party cadre to give fitting replies to the false propaganda being made on social media websites.
