Warangal Urban: Telangana government under the dynamic leadership of the Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao filled up more vacancies in the last six years than the jobs offered during the last 10- year-regimes in the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh, asserted palla Rajeshwar Reddy, the TRS candidate for Warangal, Khammam and Nalgonda Graduates MLC Constituency, here on Saturday.
Interacting with the media persons at a ‘Meet-the-press’ programme, Rajeshwar Reddy said during the 10 year period before the formation of separate Telangana, APPSC filled up only 24, 086 government jobs while the TSPSC filled up 35, 839 jobs in the last six years.
He sought to know how many jobs were offered to unemployed youth in States ruled by Congress and BJP governments. “Both the Congress and BJP leaders are resorting to a smear campaign against the TRS government on the issue of creation of employment opportunities,” he said adding that a total of 1.31 lakh jobs had been filled in various government departments. Referring to allegations over no recruitment in the varsities, he had accused the BJP affiliated ABVP and RSS of stalling the recruitment process in the varsities.
“The TSPSC filled up over 30,000 jobs, 31,900 vacancies were filled up in the police department, 9,300 junior panchayat secretary posts and 10,300 teacher posts have filled up besides many other posts. No BJP government in other states has filled up so many government posts,” he argued.
The BJP leaders should first answer Telangana people why the NDA government led by their party has failed to establish a steel factory at Bayyaram as promised in AP Reorganisation Act, Tribal University, Sainik School and Airport in the combined Warangal district.
Taking strong exception to the opposition parties’ allegations regarding the advances taken by the Telangana government, he said that the TRS government was implementing many welfare schemes which no other the government in the county was implementing. Criticising the Modi government for privatising the PSUs, he described privatisation of Visakhapatnam Steel Factory as a sad development. “The BJP government was privatising the public entities while the TRS government has made efforts to revive the SCCL and TSRTC”, Palla said.
Responding to a query, Palla said that he would try to resolve the issues of the journalists by discussing the matter with the Chief Minister.
Meanwhile, Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao, in an interaction with graduates and lecturers here, said the Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao ensured supply of funds for the welfare programmes and development works even as Covid-19 affected the State’s finances.
“From this Ugadi, drinking water would be supplied on a daily basis under GWMC limits,” Rao added. Government Chief Whip and Warangal West MLA Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar and others were present.
