Ajay Kumar was speaking at membership drive programmes in different places in Khammam on Tuesday
Khammam: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) was the most successful political party in the country, asserted Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar.
He said there is no other political party that has been as successful as the TRS. The party president and the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao took the State to the top spot in the country in development and welfare activities.
Ajay Kumar was speaking at membership drive programmes in different places here on Tuesday. He said the party leadership gives priority to the wellbeing of the cadres and has taken care of the families of 3000 workers, who passed away since 2015.
The families of every deceased worker of the party have been given insurance cheques. The party offers insurance coverage of Rs 2 lakh to all enrolled party workers and has paid an amount of Rs 47 crore towards insurance premium, he noted.
A separate wing has been established at Telangana Bhavan, the party state headquarters in Hyderabad, to manage the insurance related matters. TRS is the only political party that has uploaded its members details online, Ajay Kumar explained. He urged the party leaders and workers to make committed efforts to surpass the membership target given to them. He wanted the public to enroll themselves as the party members to support the leadership of Chief Minister Chandrashekhar Rao.
Ajay Kumar advised the party ranks to be in touch with the graduates in their areas and seek their support for the party’s candidate for Warangal-Nalgonda-Khammam Graduates MLC election, Palla Rajeshwar Reddy.
He also wanted every party worker in erstwhile Khammam district to plant at least three saplings as part of ‘Koti Vrukshaarchana’ programme through which it is planned to plant one crore saplings.
SUDA Chairman Bachu Vijay Kumar, the TRS district party office in-charge Gundala Krishna, Deputy Mayor B Murali Prasad, TRS city wing president K Murali and others were present.
