Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu alleged massive irregularities in the APPSC Group-1 examinations held under the previous government, claiming that answer scripts were evaluated by unqualified individuals such as plumbers and security guards.
The SIT probing the 2018 APPSC Group-I recruitment examination has alleged irregularities in digital and manual evaluation processes, including unauthorised evaluators, mark discrepancies, private handling of answer scripts, CCTV lapses and alterations in evaluation records
The examination is being conducted as per earlier schedule, as it was not possible to reschedule it in the last moment, the APPSC is learnt to have written to the State Government.
The APPSC has postponed the group- II exam slated to be conducted on February 23 in view of a request from the AP government over the roster system case penidng in the High Court
The confusion among the aspirants arose after TGPSC informed the High Court that the books of Telugu Akademi, a government institution, could not be treated as an authentic source in a competitive examination
Andhra Pradesh state government announced an additional 212 Group-2 positions, supplementing the existing 508 posts, resulting in a total of 720 vacancies.
