trucker beaten to death by truckers on national highway 44 in nizamabad
Nizamabad: A truck driver was beaten to death by a gang of three persons near a petrol bunk on National Highway 44 near Devithanda on Tuesday evening, leading to tension. The assailants are also suspected to be crew of another truck.
Police aid the victim Mohammed Salman had parked his truck near a petrol bunk, when three assailants who also came in another truck attacked him with an iron rod. The assailants fled in the truck, which they later abandoned near a road side hotel in Chandrayan pally village on the highway.
A seriously injured Salman was rushed to a government hospital in Indalvai, where he was declared brought dead. It was said that both the victim and the assailants hailed from Uttar Pradesh and were having some dispute. They were believed to have quarrelled at another dhaba before the fatal attack. Investigation is in progress.
