Nalgonda MLA Kancherla Bhupal Reddy distributed CMRF cheques worth Rs 50 lakh to 133 beneficiaries at his camp office, here on Tuesday.
Nalgonda: Nalgonda MLA Kancherla Bhupal Reddy on Tuesday said the State government was committed to helping people who were in distress due to various ailments.
Speaking after distributing CMRF cheques worth Rs 50 lakh to 133 beneficiaries at his camp office here, Bhupal Reddy said the State government had not only developed government hospitals on a par with corporate hospitals by developing infrastructure and medical facilities, but was also extending financial help to poor patients availing treatment in private hospitals.
He urged the people to utilise the medical facilities available in government hospitals and avoid going to private institutions. “People should opt for private hospital only if any facility was not available in the government hospital,” he said, adding that Nalgonda Assembly constituency accounted for the highest number of poor people benefitting from CMRF in the State.
The MLA said the number of outpatients and inpatients in government hospitals had increased significantly since the State government had succeeded in building confidence among the people about the quality of health services available in government hospitals. “Super specialty level medical services are also available to the people of Nalgonda now with the setting up of medical college,” he added.
Nalgonda Municipal Chairman Mandadai Saidi Reddy, TRS Nalgonda town president Pilli Rama Raju and others were present.
