TSRTC clarifies no fault of driver in Chevella road tragedy

TSRTC clarified that the bus involved in the Chevella road tragedy had valid fitness certification and insurance, and there was no fault on the part of the driver. The accident was caused by overspeeding and loss of control by the tipper driver

Hyderabad: Officials of the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) on Monday said that the bus involved in the Chevella road tragedy, which claimed 19 lives, had a valid fitness certificate and insurance, and that there was no fault on the part of the RTC driver.

TSRTC, in a statement, said the accident was caused by overspeeding and loss of control by the tipper driver.


Senior RTC officials and emergency teams rushed to the spot to oversee rescue and medical operations.
