Hyderabad: The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has drawn up plans to ply special buses to the ashram of Tridandi Chinna Jeeyar Swamy at Muchintal from important locations in the city for convenience of people planning to visit the Statue of Equality.
Anticipating a heavy influx of devotees, the authorities have decided to operate special buses from February 3 to 13.
The 216 feet tall statue of 11th-century reformer and Vaishnavite saint Ramanujacharyulu will be unveiled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the sprawling 40-acre ashram of Tridandi Chinna Jeeyar Swamy at Muchintal on Saturday.
Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao would be co-hosting the event with Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamy. President Ramnath Kovind, Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu, and several Union Ministers are expected to visit the venue.
